US returns & cancellations

These details apply to our US made-to-order duvets delivered to an address in the United States.

Choosing your duvet

We make every US duvet after it is ordered, in the size and warmth you choose. For that reason, we can't offer returns or exchanges if you change your mind, including choosing a different size or warmth.

If you're unsure, get in touch before ordering—we're happy to help you find the right fit. We recommend checking the measurements on your duvet cover's label. Your order is paid in full at checkout.

If you need to cancel

You can request a cancellation while your order is still unfulfilled. Email info@unwonted.dk with your order number as soon as possible. Once the order has been fulfilled, it can no longer be canceled.

Please allow around 2–3 weeks for us to make your duvet before dispatch, followed by delivery time. If we need longer, we'll contact you with a new dispatch estimate. You can then choose to accept the new date or cancel for a refund.

If something isn't right

Our change-of-mind return restriction does not apply if your duvet arrives damaged, is incorrect or has a manufacturing defect. Email us with your order number, a description of the issue and photos if possible. If the parcel was damaged in transit, please keep the packaging.

We'll arrange an appropriate repair, replacement or refund and cover reasonable return shipping for an accepted claim. Please contact us before sending your duvet back so we can guide you through the next steps.

Our craftsmanship guarantee

Our five-year craftsmanship guarantee covers stitching, seams, shell fabric defects not caused by misuse, and fill clumping or shifting that affects performance under normal use. Purchases through a registered UNWONTED account activate the guarantee automatically; for purchases through an authorized retailer, please keep your receipt.

Natural aging, cosmetic wear, stains, discoloration, accidents, and damage from misuse, improper care or washing are excluded. To make a claim, email us with photos and proof of purchase. Read the full craftsmanship guarantee.

Receiving your refund

Once approved, we'll process your refund within 14 days, to the payment method and in the currency you originally used. Your payment provider may need a little longer to show it in your account.

Your rights and remedies under applicable law are unchanged. Any updates to this policy apply to orders placed after the update.
