Partnering farms
We currently work with 47 small alpaca farms across Poland, shown on the map below. Poland's national animal register (ARiMR) lists 9,426 alpacas, llamas and other camelids in 1,485 holdings, as of September 2026, and most of them are family agritourism farms that keep the animals for visitors rather than for fibre.
Every May my sister Klaudia, a trained alpaca shearer, and our father Andrzej set out on a six-week shearing circuit from Suwałki in the northeast to the Tatra Mountains in the south. Shearing is necessary for the animals' health, because an unshorn alpaca overheats in summer. In 2025 we sheared close to 250 alpacas.
A small farm produces 15 to 90 kg of fleece a year, while industrial processing needs batches of at least 500 kg, so this fleece often stays in barns until it is thrown away. We collect it from dozens of farms, grade it by hand and turn it into the fill of our duvets. In return, partner farms get professional shearing and a guaranteed purchase of their fleece.
Some of the farms tell their own story on our blog, which you can read below.
We will be updating the list as our partner farms decide to participate in our transparency program, ensuring we honor both their privacy and our commitment to traceability.
